“The Crucifixion of Donald Trump? Drinking the MAGA Christian Kool Aid. Also: Read some of the comments on The Washington Times article, By Hal Brown, MSW

Update:

Since posting the story about Trump putting a link to a Washington Times article comparing him to Jesus RawStory uncovered this:

Read the original Gateway Pundit article here:

About The Gateway Pundit:

The Gateway Pundit (TGP) is an American far-right[2] fake news website.[1] The website is known for publishing falsehoods, hoaxes, and conspiracy theories.[34]

Founded by Jim Hoft in 2004, The Gateway Pundit expanded from a one-person enterprise into a multi-employee operation that is supported primarily by advertising revenue.[35][36] During the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, the site received over a million unique visitors per day.[37] In September 2021, Google demonetized the site for publishing misinformation.[38][39][40]

Here’s what I posted this morning:

Under the photo it says the following as if this is a normal thing a good Christian would do during Easter week:

President Donald Trump holds a Bible as he visits outside St. John’s Church across Lafayette Park from the White House, June 1, 2020, in Washington. Trump is now selling Bibles as he runs to return to the White House. The presumptive Republican nominee released a video on his Truth Social platform Tuesday urging his supporters to purchase the “God Bless The USA Bible.”

This may not be common knowledge:

The newspaper was founded by Unification Church leader Sun Myung Moon, and it was owned until 2010 by News World Communications, an international media conglomerate founded by Moon. It is currently owned by Operations Holdings, which is a part of the Unification Church movement.

Moon considered himself the Second Coming of Christ, claiming to complete the mission Jesus Christ was unable to because of his crucifixion.

This story is making the news:

To fully grasp the reason I wonder I think the commentary pubished in The Washington Times ought to be a satire, a sacreligious one at that, you have to bite the bullet and click on their website (here) to read it. You may first see this (below) but if you do just click “No, thank you”.

Since many, perhaps most of you won’t read the article, I thought it would be interesting to share the 16 comments to the article. Some agree with the premise of the column and others don’t.

A recent comment is along the lines of what I would have posted, perhaps refering to Hitler who I would hazzard I gess this commenter was thinking of, if I was willing to register on the website:

Polish Bear: Throughout human history there have arisen various charismatic figures who surround themselves with adoring worshipers, and such cults never end well. Trump’s Svengali-like hold on people such as the author is embarassing.

Here are the additional cmments:

“Donald Trump is no Jesus. He’s committed a sin or two along the way. He can be brash and rude.”

Donald Trump has never claimed to be Jesus, nor that he was without sin, nor that he was a silver-tongued orator. He did claim that he could Make America Great Again and it was well on its way there, until diabolical, left-wing DemocRat operatives sabotaged him at every conceivable opportunity. He will make good his claim as he begins his well-deserved second term, next January, 2025. This time, they’ll never stop him.

The. best explanation thus fur, quest for power and control makes sense as to why they won’t leave #47 alone. These charges, in every case, are absurd and should never have been filed. Shame on NY, DC & GA and shame on Biden for orchestrating it

Pilate asked Jesus: “What is Truth?”

(No one would ask Trump what Truth is.)1

Matthew 7: 15-23 sums up Trump better than ever:

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

People have been killed, injured, convicted, and disbarred as a direct result of Trump.11

Pray for DJT.

Trump is showing all the signs, both physical and mental, of Front Temporal Dementia…..

Including the way he has started to drag or swing his right leg, the way he repeats himself over and over in a sentence or completely changes the subject within the same sentence, the way he continuously mispronounces words he’s reading from the teleprompter or makes up entire new words and other defining signs.21

Trump is wallowing in his Messiah complex. Just what the world needs: a soul cleanse with a grifter Bible, where the profits could well be going to pay legal costs in trials about breaking commandments — bearing false witness to try to steal democracy, coveting a porn star, then paying the star hush money to keep quiet about the sex.

Two-Corinthians Trump wouldn’t know the difference between Old and New Testaments. So he may not realize that, rather than a sacrificial lamb, he is the Golden Calf, the false god worshiped by Israelites when Moses went up to Mount Sinai to get the Ten Commandments.

Just as the Israelites melted their ornaments and jewelry to make the calf, Trump is trading tacky products for gilt to pay gazillions in obligations. After his $399 golden “Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker,” Trump is selling a $99 “Victory” cologne for “movers, shakers and history makers” with “a crisp opening of citrus blends into a cedar heart, underpinned by a rich base of leather and amber, crafting a commanding presence.” A gold bust of Trump tops the bottle. (“Victory” perfume for women comes in a Miss Universe-shape bottle.)21

Now there’s an understatement. Donald Trump is much closer to the Antichrist than to Jesus Christ. How unfortunate that so-called Christians are blinded by their false idol they worship.211

Loose use of Christian metaphors and analogies does Trump supporters no good. What is the motivation of Mr. Constantine and the Washington Times? This only provides cannon fodder for the progressive media to point out the ‘Christian nationalism’ of the ‘extreme right.’1

Pilate knew better. Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron know better. Fani Willis knows better. Jack Smith knows better. Yet like Pilate, their desire to maintain a grasp on political power is greater than their respect for the law.

Pilate at least tried to do the right thing and initially refused to just go along with a political execution.

It is gratifying to see that among those few, compared to other media wesbites which have many more comments (the RawStory article on this has 586 comments), who were willing to sharing personal information with The Washington Times in order to post their opinions about the story there are some who didn’t drink the MAGA Christian Kool-Aid.

Addendum: Here’s a relevent exceprt from David French’s NY Times column “Trump Is No Savior (subsciption):

The MAGA method is clear. First, it whips up its people into a religious frenzy. It lies to convince them that the Democrats are an existential threat to the country and the church. It tells worried Christians that the fate of the nation is at stake. Then, just as it builds up the danger from the Democrats, it constructs an idol of Trump, declaring his divine purpose and spreading the prophecies of his coming return. He is to be the instrument of divine vengeance against his foes, and his frenzied foot soldiers are eager to carry out his will. They march eagerly to culture war, flying the flag of the House of Trump.

Sadly, all of this spilled into the open on Holy Week, the very week when the actual example of Jesus Christ should thoroughly rebuke MAGA’s fear and MAGA’s will to power. Christ came to a nation that was groaning under the weight of a real oppressor, the Roman Empire. At every turn, he rejected the effort to transform him into a political leader or, worse, a warlord.

We may not have to wait long to see if this Jesus delusion and bad judgment in sharing it is an aspect of Trump slipping into more severe demntia because when someone moves from early dementia to moderate dementia the slide into almost impossible to hide severe dementia often happens in a matter of months.

One response to ““The Crucifixion of Donald Trump? Drinking the MAGA Christian Kool Aid. Also: Read some of the comments on The Washington Times article, By Hal Brown, MSW”

  1. It is interesting to read the comments and see who actually has something to say.

It appears, nobody really has anything substantive to offer.

It appears, per usual, that the message of Ishtar, the origin of the word Easter, referencing celestial mechanics and those wondrous lights outside of our stratosphere, has been lost in the horrific need for humans to have sacrifice, burnt offering, appeasement of the “gods”, all indicating that at our core, when hemispherical rule offers us respite from winter and its chill,

We go out of our minds.

    We just lose our stuff.

We cannot hold it together, simply express gratitude to the wonder of our surviving a challenging time. We are each offered reprieve, not rebirth, and the chance to get things right.

Donald doesn’t want things to be right, he just wants to make damned sure he pockets as much loot as he can. He IS the templar money changer in the story of old.

Jesus would have flipped his table long ago…
