CNN political analyst Paul Begala was unsparing when asked about former President Donald Trump’s latest attack on the majority of American Jews.

Trump said this week that the majority of American Jews should feel “ashamed” because they don’t vote for Republicans, while also claiming that American Jews “hate Israel” and even hate their own religion.

Begala said Trump’s contempt for American Jews shouldn’t come as a surprise given his other past statements.

“This is a man who admires Hitler,” Begala said, referring to claims by former Trump chief of staff John Kelly that Trump told him that Hitler “did some good things” despite being one of the worst mass murderers in the history of the world. “Kelly says that Trump praised Adolf Hitler in his presence. We know from Trump’s first wife, the late Ivana Trump, that Trump kept a book of Hitler’s speeches by his bed. We know that Trump traffics and anti-Semitic tropes all the time. We know that he had dinner with an alleged Holocaust denier at his lovely resort at Mar-a-Lago. So there are facts about Donald Trump and Jews.”

No less a historian than Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks that it is Presdient Biden, not Trump, who is like Hitler:

Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a viral video of Biden that had been doctored to include swastikas. Biden’s face had also been changed to look like Hitler, complete with mustache.

A couple of seconds from a speech by the Nazi dictator was also played over Biden’s words.

“What we all saw tonight from Biden,” Greene said as she shared the video.

Nobody knows for sure how Trump really feels about Hitler. If he was in threatment with a no doubt Jewish psychoanalyst perhaps he’d have told them. My impression is that Trump would have expressed admiration for what Hitler tried to do, after all iniitating the  “Thousand-Year Reich” was no small aspriation and not quite being able tp pull it off could be blamed on his generals.

I can hear Trump telling his analyst that he wouldnt have made that mistake and that the Trump Empire would have made the Holy Roman Empire look like a minor accomplishment (if he the dismally ignorant former persident ever heard of that).
