Trump’s hush money woman problem: Stormy, Karen, and Hope will be there. A fifth woman will be too, but only in spirit, and very possibly bad spirits, by Hal Brown, MSW

I’m not a lawyer but I’m currently watching the 77th episode of the TV show Bull about a trial consultant. If this show reflects reality, when a man is accused of a crime and goes to trial the loyal wife is often asked to sit behind him in the gallery. Since this trial while about fraud is really about infidelity a trial advisor would be expected to have the forgiving wife showing her love for her husband by being by his side when coming and going and sitting as close as him as possible in the gallery.

Update: This just became the top artilce on RawStory:

I would be have been shocked (shocked, I tell you) to see them holding hands when they were outside the courtroom. Instead, he was all by his lonesome self…. unless you count his lawyers who are paid to be there.

Whether Trump actually experiences or is bothered by loneliness is the subject of thios Politico article. In brief: he doesn’t.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she is at a top divorce lawyer’s office going over their prenuptual agreement:

I don’t know whether Melania Trump will assiduously avoid paying attention to the coverage of the hush money trial. She could be making sure that her eyes are wide shut like the character in the Stanley Krubrik 1999 erotic mystery psychogical drama starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. In the movie a physician (Tom Cruise) is shocked when his wife (Nicole Kidman) reveals that she had contemplated having an affair 12 months earlier.

Look at her bio, she’s no dummy. I assume that there’s a pre-nuptial agreement, but if she divorces him she will come out fine financially. If there’s an infidelity clause that negates it she already has a case. I can see her dumping him even if he wins the election and certainly if he loses.

She accepted being treated like an object and paraded around like arm candy, but does Melania, who is now 53, really want to be stuck in a relationship with a cognitively deteriorating elderly husband who is moving into the middle phases of dementia?

Does whe want to put up with symptoms that go beyond garbling his words and making the news like he did again in his speech on Saturday in Pennsylvania:

Excerpt:

Donald Trump’s mention of the “beautiful” Battle of Gettysburg during a campaign rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, on Saturday got the former president some attention on social media, with users wondering what his rambling “rant” was about.

“Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was,” Trump said while addressing the crowd in the town and wearing a Make America Great Again hat. “It was so much, and so interesting, and so vicious and horrible, and so beautiful in so many different ways—it represented such a big portion of the success of this country,” he continued.

“Gettysburg, wow—I go to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to look and to watch,” he said. “And the statement of Robert E. Lee, who’s no longer in favor—did you ever notice it? He’s no longer in favor. ‘Never fight uphill, me boys, never fight uphill.’ They were fighting uphill, he said, ‘Wow, that was a big mistake,’ he lost his big general. ‘Never fight uphill, me boys,’ but it was too late,” Trump added.

Does she want to have to avoid being seen in public with him trying to look like she’s happy to be by his side without any hint of a grimace of discomfort showing on her face being all over social media within hours saying she looks like a hostage? For example:

If I was a betting person I’d wager that Melania will not be married to him two years from now.

Just an aside: It’s too bad there are no cameras in the courtroom because if Trump has something akin to the famous Caine Mutiny strawberries scene (here) we’ll never see it.

Update: If you need any further proof Trump is losing it: Trump brags about Nobel Peace Prize nomination as he sits in courthouse.

Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, is expected to testify in Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial, which is scheduled to begin this week. While she has always said that the sex was “consensual,” we can see why Trump was intent on silencing herafter the 2016 release of the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape in which he brags about sexually assaulting women. Her story wasn’t dangerous because it was evidence of adultery. It was yet more evidence of Trump’s long history of acting entitled to women’s bodies. Trump struggles with basic emotional regulation on the best of days, but even by his low standards, his abject terror over this trial is remarkable. He posts hysterically on Truth Social at all hours. His lawyers, always trying to manage the feelings of their volatile client, have filed a series of increasingly silly motions aimed at delaying the trial, all of which have been shot down. No doubt he’s afraid of being convicted, especially since the evidence is much stronger than skeptical media reporting initially led people to believe. Polls suggest that 64% of respondents — including four out of 10 Republicans — believe the charges to be serious.

I suspect there’s another underrated source of Trump’s fear and rage: He knows Daniels will be taking the stand. Hers is a story that is likely to make him look bad, well beyond garden-variety adultery. The fact that he was an adulterer was probably the best-known aspect of his life going into the election. There’s a reason the “Access Hollywood” tape sent his team into overdrive, trying to pay Daniels to shut up. Trump and his minions are able to wave away many of the odious aspects of his personality with seeming ease, from his proud ignorance to his childish insults to his relentless efforts to cheat every system, including elections. But his predatory sexual behavior cannot be explained away by yelling “deep state” or claiming he was “just joking” or insisting that “all politicians do it.”Trump’s conduct with women makes clear that he’s both a bully and a coward, who victimizes vulnerable people in situations where they have no real way to fight back. It also undermines his lifelong effort to portray himself as an irresistible Lothario and sexual dynamo. The ladies don’t swoon over Donald Trump. They spend every minute wondering when it will be safe to wriggle free from his stubby fingers.
