I expect viewers of Fox News have seen numerous video clips showing Presdient Biden appearing to have severe cognitive problems. MSNBC (above) showed a compliation of them in a story about how the RNC makes sure these clips are aired in right wing media.. All the clips were taken out of context. As a mental health professional I don’t judge them to be indicative of any kind of dementia. An occassional stutter or stammer is not an indicaiton of dementia. This is in stark contrast with the things Trump has said which do show that he may very well have early and worsening dementia.

The comparison between Biden and Trump’s speaking like comparing a car hiting a small pothole and one careening off the road. Consider the now emplematic example of how Trump abruptly told his electric boat shark story.

I am withholding my final (albeit at a) distance dementia diagnosis of both candidates until I see the first debate. I will do my level best to be objective.

Let’s see how the ITBFT (in the bag for Trump) media handles coverage of the first debate.
