Preparing for a Trump win, by Hal Brown, MSW

Has the country gone crazy? One might come to this conclusion if they watched “Morning Joe” today. We have to prepare ourselves for the possibility that Trump will win the election.

I wish I had a one-size-fits-all answer to how to best prepare for a Trump win beyond the basic advice that if it comes to this you have to hold close to your loved ones, your friends, and like-minded people.

The worst thing to do is isolate yourself.

Everybody isn’t suited to be a warrior, though some may want to join groups that are actively fighting on the front lines by joining protest groups knowing that a planned peaceful protest can turn violent or get them arrested.

I’m not the only one to envision four years of chaos including violence and people being deprived of what we have come to assume are their basic civil rights across the country if Trump lives to serve out his term.

If this happens the only hope I see is that the country manages to weather the four years and come out the other side with democracy intact enough to have a free election where someone, Democrat or Republican, wins on the pledge to undo what Trump had done and restore democracy.
