All the revelations that Trump enriched himself by nearly $8 million from foreign governments while he was president means to MAGA cult members is elicit either ho-hums or a “good for him I’d do the same” reaction.

It isn’t easy for someone to admit that they were taken in by a consumate conman, that they were led by a Pied Piper into a dark dank cave.

Noone wants to look at themselves and say “what an idiot I must have been to be seen in public like this:”

President Biden is going to speak today and is expected to warn the country that what is at stake in this election is the very soul of America and that Trump aspires to turn the United States of America into a dictatorship. I doubt he’ll say that if Trump wins only the favored will have the freedom to live their lives without the boot of government on their necks choking the life out of them.

There’s no way Biden will play “He’s a Moron” before he speaks (watch video here). Maybe he should.

First of all, Trump really isn’t a moron. While not analytic, he’s got a feral iinteligence which has served him well. He plays on people’s gullibility and is unrestrained by morality or ethical considerations.

The people who so blindly and zealously support him may not be the birghtest bulbs but they aren’t morons either. My sense of the majority of them comes from interviews of those who go to Trump rallies and reports of what some of the Jan. 6th defendants have said about why they attacked the Capitol.

I’ve never heard anyone say that they follow Trump because he’s a bigot who will empower White people like them. Even the dumbest of the dumb won’t admit that if this is how they feel.

They’ll say they support him because he’s a strong leader and wants what’s best for the country and when asked about his crimes and transgressions they’ll say these are lies and they’ll mimic Trump’s blame-slinging using terms like the liberal elite and the deep state.

The actual facts are obvious to the majority of readers of this blog so I won’t go into them for the sake of brevity. My point is that in order to peel off an end result significant enough number of voters planning to vote for Trump so they don’t vote at all which is more likely for many, or vote for Biden, they have to be shown they were sheep being led down the garden path which was lined with lies rather than lovely flowers.

Nobody wants to admit this. This doesn’t mean it isnt impossible that some will be able to do so. We can only hope that President Biden, Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans figure out the formula that persuades people to admit to themselves that they were played by a master manipulator.

It will be a gargantuan task to convince people not only that they were taken in, but for many that the God they believe in actually didn’t make Trump despite videos like this.

I need somebody who can shape an ax but wield a sword. Who had the courage to step foot in North Korea? Who can make money from the tar of the sand turned liquid to gold? Who understands the difference between tariffs and inflation? We’ll finish this 40 hour week by Tuesday noon, but then put in another 72 hours. So God made Trump.

God had to have somebody willing to go into the den of vipers. Call out the fake news for their tongues as sharp as serpents. The poison of vipers is on their lips. And yet. Stop. So God made Trump.

God said, I need somebody who will be strong and courageous, who will not be afraid or terrified of the wolves when they attack a man who cares for the flock. A shepherd to mankind who will never leave nor forsake them. I need the most diligent worker to follow the path and remain strong in faith and know the belief of God and country. Somebody who is willing to drill, bring back manufacturing and American jobs. Farm the lands. Secure our borders. Build our military. Fight the system all day and finish a hard weeks. Work by attending church on Sunday. And then his oldest son turns and says, God, let’s make America great again, dad. Let’s build back a country to be the envy of the world again. So God made Trump.

I don’t know what is more appalling, that there were people who thought to put this video together, that Trump watched it and put it on his Truth Social website, or that there are probably some people that believe everything that is in it. I suppose it is all three.
