The artile from The Daily Mail, “Voters describe their 2024 choice between a Trump second term and a Biden second term as a choice between REVENGE or NOTHING in Daily Mail poll.”
Excerpt:
The former president, who spends a huge amount of his time railing against opponents and critics, is associated with: ‘Revenge’, ‘power,’ and ‘dictatorship.’
‘It distils the essence of this campaign pretty accurately,’ said author and conservative commentator Matt Lewis.
‘In the case of Donald Trump, the brand that has emerged is one that he has intentionally cultivated, and he has sought to become the candidate of vengeance.
‘In the case of Biden, I think this is perhaps not great news. But then again it’s not terrible: It could have been old, it could have been demented.
‘Instead, it’s nothing. It’s a blank slate. And they do say vanilla is the most popular flavor of ice cream.’
This poll was covered elsewhere. For example, it was the top of the website article on HuffPost (read article here).

In promoting this poll Trump is behaving true to form. He’s a malignant narcissist who leaps at any opportunity to escalate hostilty levels. He is a sadist who thrives on tormenting his enemies. For him this report is a chance for more bullyish braggadocio. He’s proud of being seen as a vengance demon like Div-e Sepid, the white demon in, the stuff of liberal’s nightmares.

In the Persian epic of Shahnameh Div-e Sepid (Persian: دیو سپید, lit. White Demon), is the chieftain of the Divs (demons) of Mazandaran. He is a huge being. He possesses great physical strength and is skilled in sorcery and necromancy. He destroys the army of Kay Kavus by conjuring a dark storm of hail, boulders, and tree trunks using his magical skills. He then captures Kay Kavus, his commanders, and paladins; blinds them, and imprisons them in a dungeon.

What Trump, who I doubt ever heard of this Persian demon, doesn’t know that in folklore mst demons meet a disasterous fate.
The greatest Persian mythical hero Rostam undertakes his “Seven Labors” to free his sovereign. At the end, Rostam slays Div-e Sepid and uses his heart and blood to cure the blindness of the king and the captured Persian heroes. Rostam also takes the Div’s head as a helmet and is often pictured wearing it.
