Far be it from me to suggest Trump who is devoid a conscience cheated on the most commonly used assessment tool for determining whether someone has dementia, the MOCA, but it is easy enough to find sample tests online (here). Leave it to Brian Karem in his Salon article today (“Trump is afraid of a rematch”) to come up with a line from the second episode of Columbo which describes Trump. Leslie Williams, played by Lee Grant, is a brilliant and ruthless lawyer who murders her husband Paul (Harlan Warde) to get his money. She arranges the act to look as if he had been kidnapped and killed by his captors.

Here’s the Columbo line: Mrs. Williams, you have no conscience and that’s your weakness. Did it ever occur to you that there are very few people who would take money to forget about a murder? It didn’t, did it? I knew it wouldn’t.” Let’s hope Trump’s arrogant lack of conscience leads to his downfall the way it did to Mrs. Williams. (Reference)

One thing about what Trump writes on Truth Social is that nobody says he’s using a ghostwriter.

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Page is really a MESS! The Globalist “paper” sucks, its influence is badly waning, and the concept of, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, is not exactly music to their ears. They fought me hard in 2016, but when I WON, Rupert Murdoch was the first to call. “Great going,” he said, “lets have lunch.” He called often, never getting what he wanted to get, or hearing what he wanted to hear. How did that work out, Rupert? Now he’s given up on a hopeless Ron DeSanctimonious, who became Florida’s Governor because of me, only to be pushing Nikki “Birdbrain” Haley, an even more disloyal candidate than Ron. Just like 2016 (In 2020 I got millions of more votes than I did in 2016, but the ELECTION WAS RIGGED!), 2024 will be a GLOBALIST DEFEAT, and a rebuke to the losers at the WSJ, who have gotten almost nothing right for years. Remember, I am leading Haley & DeSanctus by 50 Points, & Crooked Joe by a lot, & the Radical Left Democrats want no part of MAGA, or TRUMP!

Truth Socal

Trump has decided to nickname Nikki Haley which, in and of itself, may mean he’s worried and that he thinks she represents competition in the primary. He couldn’t manage a nickname for her as catchy and possibly true as Ron DeSanctimonious, though in this “truth” he also called him by his first name and “DeSantus” which has no meaning. In his juvenile way he thinks misspelling a name is a clever insult.

Of course, he also misspelled “let’s” which is yet another example of his many misspellings.

Notable, to me at least, he called Haley a “birdbrain”. This is slang for an annoyingly stupid and shallow person. I don’t think anybody has seen any indications that Haley is stupid or shallow.

As far as talking brids go I’ve heard a couple of parrots in real life that had better rhetorical skills than Trump and Clover (watch video) beats him by far.

Come on Trump, is “birdbrain” the best you can do for your former UN ambassador and now competitor in the GOP primary?

Trump could have called her “tricky Nikki” which might lead some people to be reminded of Nixon’s nickname. We know he’d really like to say she’s an ungrateful and disloyal — he’d have a few profane misogynist words to add to this.

Trump has to hate it if he sees photos like the one (below) used in the Newsweek artilce about Trump’s Truth Social rant “Donald Trump Melts Down Over Support for Nikki Haley” which just went online. It seems to show that she is explaining something serious to him and he’s listening attentively.

I doubt he’d be thrilled to read this excerpt:

So long ago it tends to fade into memory (Sept. 2017) the founder of the Duty to Warn movement, clincial psychologist Dr. John D. Gartner wrote a book called All I Ever Wanted to Know about Donald Trump I Learned From His Tweets: A Psychological Exploration of the President via Twitter.

Suffice to say that Gartner’s conclusion was that Trump had no business being president. My version of a book which I could write today is on the lower right below with a DonkeyHotey caricature:

Trump is addicted to posting on Social Media. Consider:

 Trump tweeted or retweeted approximately 3,500 times in 2018, 7,700 times in 2019 and on over more than 12,000 occasions in 2020. The New York Times reported that he was tagged on Twitter at a rate of 1,000 times a minute in 2019. His most prolific day came on June 5, 2020 when he sent 200 tweets or retweets, breaking a previous record of 142 sent on during his impeachment trial on January 23, 2020. (Reference)

I can’t find a report on how many times he’s posted on Truth Social but the NY Times reported this on Sept. 2, 2022:

In a 24-hour period this week, former President Donald J. Trump posted to his social media platform, Truth Social, 88 times, amplifying one conspiracy theory after another. (Reference)

You don’t have to be a psychotherapist like Dr. Gartner or like me to note that Trump’s mental health has deteriorated ever since he lost the election and has been worsening dramatically as his legal troubles escalate.

You also don’t have to watch his interviews on TV or his speeches to determine that he’s not merely reactive rage mode and feeling desperate. which he is, but that his grasp on reality is tenuous at best. At worst any competent clincian would see evidence he is near to having a psychotic break.

All anyone, a psychotherapist or a layman has to do is read his Truth Social posts to determine, not necessarily whether Trump is suffering from a mental illness, but whether he’s fit to be president.
